The Bible is like a lamp that God has given to the human beings. In the book of Psalms, chapter 119, verse 105 (Psalms 119:105) king David wrote:

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Between the moral and religion confusion that exist  in this world, God has left this lamp to light our way through the path that will take us to eternal life.

We congratulate you for reading these words, you have taken the first steps on a path that very few begin, the study of the word of God. The majority of the people prefer to follow the easy path, a life of superficialities, distractions, the ignorance of what the Bible says, and to live ones life according to what wethink is right, instead of choosing to know God and understand the purpose of life in this world, to follow the instructions of the Creator by reading and studying His word. The gospel of Mathew, chapter 7, verses 13 and 14 (Mathew 7:13-14) tells us about the invitation that Jesus Christ makes to us: "You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it". You are choosing to study the word of God that lead us to eternal life!

The word BIBLE (in greek biblia.gif) means "books", it is referring to the books compiled  in the Bible as the word inspired by God. We refer also to the Bible as the Holy Bible and the apostle Paul affirm to us in the Second letter to Timothy chapter 3, verses 16 and 17 (2 Timothy 3:16-17) that:

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It correct us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people".

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It correct us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people".

Even though it seems that the Bible has  66 books, in reality it has 70, because the Psalms are 5 books. The Bible has 1,189 chapters. It has continuity even though it was written in three continents by more than 40 authors in a period of 1,600 years, starting in 1500 AC until the year 100 DC. Although in different times some people have tried to destroy the Bible completely, God has ensure that it is one of the books more sold in history. There have been 800 millions of copies sold since  1611, which means they have sold more than  2 millions a year and more than  5,000 sold a day. Many people have tried to find mistakes in the Bible but it is a flawless book. The apparent mistakes or contradictions found can be explain when each topic is studied.

The main topics of the Bible are the revelation of God and His character, His Kingdom to Come and His Plan of Salvation through Jesus Christ.

It is the only book in which through many ways has shown to be inspired by the Creator. This book is the only one that has prophesized with anticipation the events that will affect some nations or people. Each prophecy have been confirm because they were inspired by God Himself. The apostle Peter wrote in his Second Letter, chapter 1 and verse 21 (2 Peter 1:21) that: "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God".
